His Louisville home parish was St. Rita in South Louisville. As a high school sophomore, he went to St. Thomas Seminary for five years, then on to Mt. St. Mary of the West in Cincinnati for six years.
Fr. B.J.'s first love is parish work. He is intrigued by the history of the development of parishes and he wonders how we can work smarter and better as parishes. This is of prime importance in our diocesan clusters. A great reader, he enjoys church history and also teaching in RCIA.
For sports he likes football and basketball, both college teams and the Cleveland Browns and the Indians. This interest began when his family was in Erie, PA and the Cleveland teams were the closest pro teams.
